Traverse route is interesting and diverse, as it passes through the peaks of Mont Blanc du Takul, Mont Maudit and Mont Blanc itself. Although there are no crack falls on this route, you will walk thought avalanche hazardous areas and overcome various cracks. To climb Mont Blanc via 3 Mont Route you need to be in a very good physical shape.

No prior experience is required, all necessary techniques will be explained by the guide before or during the climb.
6 days - is a standard program, but you can add extra days for better acclimatization and cases of bad weather. Any additional day is €400 per person.
1. Easy 1-day or multi-day climbs at an altitude up to 3000 meters. Easy, mostly walking terrain. Good for most fitness levels. Also suitable for children and elderly people. Perfect for those who have never climbed a mountain and who want to try it out.
2. Moderate 1-day or multi-day climbs at an altitude of up to 3000 meters with some technical elements. Mostly walking terrain. Requires an average level of physical fitness.
3. Challenging Multi-day climbs with longer and more exposed climbing areas at the altitude up to 5000-6000 meters. Requires high endurance to walk several days for about 4-6 hours a day. Steeper slopes, many crevasses. Requires an average to above average fitness level.
4. Strenuous Strenuous climbs at altitudes of 5000-7000 meters. Requires high endurance to walk and climb on a moderate snow and ice slopes for several days for up to 8 hours a day. Continuously steep terrain, wall passages that require great commitment. Requires an above average fitness level and high level of stamina.
5. Extreme Extremely challenging climbs for experienced mountaineers, high altitudes up to 8848 meters. Requires extremely high level of physical fitness and stamina, as well as great practical experience of technical mountaineering.

2. Intermediate Good navigational skills and efficient rope handling required, long climbing sections. Basic experience in using crampons and ice axes is required.
3. Advanced Good sense of orientation en route, efficient rope handling, long climbs, requires securing at halting-points. Requires proficiency in basic mountaineering skills including: cramponing, walking on snow, self-arrest, crevasse rescue, and glacier travel on a rope team.
4. Professional Extremely steep, partly overhanging wall passages, ice climbing sections. Requires proficiency in basic and advanced mountaineering skills including: cramponing, walking on snow, self-arrest, crevasse rescue, and glacier travel on a rope team.
Some activities might envolve technical elements for which certain practical experience or training is needed.
Day of meeting in Chamonix
On the first day of the program there won't be much climbing. You will have an opportunity to experience beauty of the place where the very first ascent took place. After you get some rest, you guide will meet up with you to introduce himself and make sure you have all the equipment necessary for the climb.
«Ice school» Lifting to the Montenvers station. Descent on Mer de Glace Glacier. Typically the skills we cover include cramponing, both flat-foot technique as well as front-pointing, use of the ice axe and screw placement. We normally set up top ropes on the longer and steeper walls. Descent to Chamonix.

Lifting on a cable lift to l'Aiguille du Midi. Descent to the plateau and climb to the Pointe Lachenal. Descent to Chamonix.

Lifting on a cable lift to l'Aiguille du Midi (3842 m). Descent to the plateau and go to Refuge des Cosmiques (3613 m). Overnight in the Refuge.
Elevation gain/ loss: 2 732 m/ 229 m Altitude: 3 842 m (12 604 ft)
Exit the hut at 2 am. Climbing Mont Blanc (5-6 hours). Descent from the top along the ascent path or classic way through the "Gouter Refuge". 6-7 hours of descent by any route to Chamonix.

During this climb you you are free to choose the most suitable option for you (hotel or apartment). On the 4th day of the climb you will be staying at Refuge des Cosmiques. Overnight in a hut will cost approximately €45 per night. Even though the accommodation is not included in the price of the tour, our guide will help you book a place in a mountain hut for your ascent.
Meals are included in the price of the shelter booking on a half-board basis. You will have a basic breakfast and dinner. Please note, that lunches are not included in the price of the hut booking. Make sure you plan your lunches in advance.
Only IFMGA recognized mountain guides are allowed to take you to the summit of Mont Blanc. This is strictly controlled in the Alpine countries. Your guide is a qualified mountain expert with whom you will successfully finish this ascent.
How hard it is
Traverse route requires fitness and acclimatization, as well as basic skills in scrambling and cramponing. The Mont Blanc ascent also presents significant risks of stone and rockfall as well as avalanches, for which you should also be prepared. Although if you are accompanied by a certified mountain guide, you have nothing to worry about.
We recommend you to book your climb to Mont Blanc in advance as sometimes the Prefect of the Haute-Savoie imposes restrictions on the number of people that can ascent on one of Europe's highest peaks.
Medicine & Insurance
In addition to standard medical insurance, we strongly recommend you to purchase specialized insurance for extreme sports. It is important that your insurance covers expenses related to the work of rescuers in the mountains (rescue work) using a rescue helicopter.

Good to know
What clothes and gear do I need?
You need gaiters, hiking socks, technical mountaineering boots and hardshell jacket. These are the essentials. Drop us a line in WhatApp or an email and we will send you the full gear list. If you don't have any of the items in this list you can always rent it in Chamonix.
Do I need to apply for a visa?
If you are EU/EEA citizen or a person with a residence permit issued by a Schengen country, you don't need Schengen visa. However, if you have a residence permit issued by a non-Schengen country in the European Union, you need a Schengen visa.
Should I get any training?
Usually it's enough to ged cardio twice per week, but the best way to prepare is to hike and hill-walk in the weeks leading up to your departure. You should be comfortable walking for four to eight hours a day. If you want a training plan - drop us an email or a line in What's App.
