Mountain Planet
Normal Route (shortened program)
Discover unforgettable Andes and enjoy climbing the highest peak in the America. The porters and mules carry equipment, a chef prepares tasty and nutritious meals throughout the tour, each participant in the base camp is accommodated by one person in a tent in the camps with all the facilities organized by us together with the Argentine partners. This shortened program proposes two options to summit Aconcagua via the Normal Route: a 17-day program with 2 extra acclimatization days and a 10-day program. The last one is only suitable for those who have previous acclimatization - no earlier than a month prior to this tour you should have a experience of being at 6000 m and sleeping at 5500 m. We recommend this option only to the experienced climbers who have lots of experience in the mountains.

Your guide
We work only with professional and reliable guides in the area. Let the guide take care of all the arrangements and get your back during the ascent, you just need to relax and follow the instructions. All of the guides have a good level of English as well. Your guide is a qualified mountain expert with whom you will successfully finish this ascent.
How hard it is
The Normal Route does not require technical training or skills in order to
participate in a summit climb. You will primarily climb on trails, but will use crampons on occasion, as well as fixed lines for added safety if required. In preparation, guides will provide instruction in the use of crampons in case they are required.

Climbing Aconcagua is a physically challenging undertaking. Climbers should expect multiple days of carrying loads between 25 lbs. (11 kg) and 40 lbs. (18 kg) while ascending as much as 3,000 ft. (950 m) in a day.

The 10-day program requires recent experience on the altitude of 5000 m and higher, so we don't recommend it to those who are not sure whether they are suitable for this climb or not.

We also recommend you to check out our Cotopaxi proposals, which will come as a perfect opportunity to climb two famous summits in one trip.
